"I've worked away for 30 years. Most nights I have a steak or a mixed grill. This adds up to thousands of meals. Last night on leaving I told the staff that I can't remember ever having a better steak. I think they thought it was because I had several beers but this is the next day and here I am saying exactly the same thing. The service was excellent, the place is nicely laid out and the food, everything on the plate, was beautiful. Visit! This place needs to be successful."

"Within the centre of town we found this pub with a groovy 80's layout, vibe, a decor. (apart from their clothing) Hospitality: 5/5 Exceptional service for our huge crowd; (additionally as-well before we even arrived). Food: 5/5 Everything we had was done to the highest quality. My food was fresh; with a taste of orriginal craftsmanship. My cheescake was deliciously creamy. Layout: 5/5 Great size; with great character a style. A timeless location from the 80's with modern touches here a there. The upstairs private loft; (booking); sounds quite interesting Note: bathroom could do with a slight renovation, or modernising. +1 - very friendly, a reliable when booking at last minute. Note that unlike most eating establishments; this one typically shuts before eavening arrives."

"Great atmosphere and service and tasty steak! I had the set menu 3 course for £18.95: teriyaki chicken wings to start, 6oz Rump steak with salad and peppercorn sauce and sticky toffee pudding with custard. Everything was delicious and the service was fairly quick. We did book for midday when the restaurant opened though, so it wasn’t too busy. steak was cooked perfectly for my liking and the salad was fresh and well presented."

"So many places to eat when you google a town so you hope for the best. We did and we got the best. One of the tastiest ribeyes I've ever had, cooked to perfection.The atmosphere was wonderful, the decor interesting and fun and the soul music was superb. They're not too pricey for a nice treat and the staff were all knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, working very hard to make peoples' evenings memorable. All good and all designed to take us back there happily without hesitation."

"Second visit in two weeks, (Saturday night) fantastic meal, fantastic service. Becoming a close one to miller and carters. Fillet steak medium rare, cooked to profection, juicy melt in mouth. That nice the first Saturday we had to go back again this Saturday, no disappointment, delivered to standards. B...E...A...UT....I....FULL.... Definitely a new a favourite"
